Roannaise Coast is a former vineyard. Mainly grape Gamay, it extends over 350 hectares on thirty kilometers of slopes exposed to the east and south.
The winemakers that operates this region are among 35. They use the best available techniques to produce structured wines with lots of color. After a few years in the cellar so we appreciate them with little notes of ripe, jammy fruit punctuated with spices and leather.
The curiosity of some winemakers led them to plant other varieties, usually white like Chardonnay and Viognier. This ten hectares and the resulting wines are classified as Vin de Pays d'Urfé.
